As much as I respect the design of Terragen 2 and 3, I absolutely despise it. I struggle with it more than any software I have ever used, the UI is counter intuitive and all the online Youtube tutorials are useless. I often end up with odd artifacts in the renders too, for this reason I'd rather stick with classic TG as a hobby. I enjoyed using classic Terragen just for creating simple sunrises, sunsets and islands. Something that I can't manage in Terragen 2 or 3. Of course the classic version of Terragen has the black nonexistent Terrain and the render size limit when unregistered, but considering the registration area on the site no longer works, and has long been superseded by 2 and 3, I was wondering if it was now available fully activated free? I'd much like to be able to render out at high resolution and print!

We have discontinued Terragen Classic as it is extremely old and no longer updated. We realize that some people do still like using it and would appreciate being able to do so without restrictions and we're considering how we might allow that, without actually dealing with registrations, support, updates, etc. That would be expected of a purchased product.
