I picked this up to grout a fireplace surround with a lot of tilework as it's advertised to not need sealing and sealing around all those small tiles was going to be time consuming. While the no sealer was a plus, application of this product was very difficult. It's consistency seems like it should be ok to spread, but in practice I found that it tended to be sticky. I tried three different grout floats including a fairly stiff one and just couldn't get a good result across the tops of the tiles. I had to use what I considered a very large amount of pressure to prevent leaving behind a thin (0.5 to 1 mm) thick layer of grout on the tile faces. Now some of this could have been the small fired clay tiles (2'x2' and 2'x4' primarily) I was using, but I don't think this was the primary cause. Because I had a lot of grout on top of the tiles, the clean up was much much longer than it should have been and I ended up having to buy a grout haze remover to get the last of it off.
